Share buyback program 2025
On August 11, 2025, we commenced the share buyback program announced in the ad hoc notification of June 17, 2025. You can find the initial notification here and the corresponding press release here.
Under this share buy-back program up to 29,288,814 shares of Fresenius Medical Care AG (ISIN DE0005785802) may be repurchased on the stock exchange for a total purchase price (not including ancillary acquisition costs) of EUR 1 billion within two years after the start of program. The purchase of the shares is based on the authorization granted by the General Meeting on May 20, 2021.
The share buyback shall be made in two tranches. Under the first tranche, shares shall be acquired for a total amount of up to EUR 600 million over a period ending on April 30, 2026 (inclusive).
A total of 2,084,733 shares have been acquired to date as part of this share buyback program.
